Description:
Camellia Seed Oil (also known as tea oil, tea seed oil or camellia oil) is extracted from the seeds of Camellia Japonica, Camellia oleifera or Camellia sinensis. (Although Camellia Oil is often referred to as Tea Oil or Tea Seed Oil, it should not be confused with the volatile essential oil of Tea Tree). Camellia Japonica originating from Japan is valued as the finest source for Camellia Oil.Camellia Oil has an outstanding moisture retaining ability and is one of the most rapidly absorbed plant oils. It contains about 86% oleic acid (higher than Olive Oil which is 65% ). Since this make-up is similar to our human's natural sebum, it can easily penetrate into the deepest layers of skin in a short time, nourish skin cells while locking moisture into the skin at the same time.
Camellia Oil beneficial properties:
Non Irritating
It does not cause any irritation or allergic reactions such as stinging, peeling, flaking and rash, unlike most Retinol, AHA and chemical acid based anti-aging creams. Safe and gentle, it can be used for all skin types (including baby's and sensitive skin). Can be used around the eyes.
Moisturizing
Studies have proven that no skincare products can work unless they penetrate multiple layers of the skin barrier. Camellia seed oil is able to penetrate deep down the skin's lower layers to restore moisture and elasticity as well as replenish skin lipids which are essential to prevent skin water loss.
